In a world rich with diverse experiences, I delve deeply into universal themes like relationships, belonging, loss, joy, resilience and identity. I examine our relationship with ourselves and illustrate human interactions in a variety of situations and times. Each story reveals the paths we take to find ourselves and others. Every character I create must unravel the complex tapestry of human connections to define who they are and where they belong. These narratives invite readers to reflect on the moments that shape us all, making the personal universal and the universal deeply personal.

I'm the author of award-winning short stories as well as magazine and newspaper articles, contemporary women's fiction and non-fiction. I've been published in Borealis magazine and in Herotica 7, Whispered Words, and Allucinor, The Elements of Romance anthologies. 

My debut novel, Kenora Reinvented, (Investigations, Mystery and Seasoned Romance) was re-published in 2025. You Are the Change: A Future Self Journal for Personal Growth, was published in 2024. The Fifth Man, book two of the Kenora & Jake series, was published in 2026.  Your Story Starts Here and 100 Prompts for Memoir Writers workbooks were published in 2026. The third book in the Kenora & Jake series, Terms of Reckoning, will be published in 2027. Works in progress include a crime novella, a series of Micro Guides on various aspects of the writing craft,  Fragments in Time, edited poems from my father, and a general interest text based on interviews with over seventy police officers around the world about challenges, rewards and leadership in their chosen profession.

I am Past Chair of Crime Writers of Canada and a founding member and Past President of the Writers Community of York Region. I belong to professional organizations including Sisters in Crime, Toronto Sisters in Crime, Toronto Romance Writers and Crime Writers of Canada.
